First time to Hong Kong with an 8 year old

My husband and myself are travelling to Hong Kong for the first time with our 8 year old. We are seasoned travellers and love the sites and smells of Asian countries. I have a few questions. Good places to stay where there is a pool and not to expensive? What is the food prices like. We went to Bali for 4 weeks and spent about 3,00 AUD on food for the 4 weeks. Is Hong Kong as economical? We love eating with the locals it gives you the feel for the locals. Any information or web sites are greatly appreciated.

my Hongkong trip was really fun, i love kiddie stuffs and one of it is Disneyland Hongkong..the views and each ride where amazing, i spend a week there with my 2 nephews and sister
