I am very new to this forum. While preparing for my trip to Vietnam in the following July, i found many website offer Online visa for Vietnam, is that for real? How secure are those sites to handle those sensitive information like passport number, date of birth...? should i put my name down to give it a try, the price for the visa services is very attempting?

i never heard of it. I think you have to go through a travel agent consultant to confirm if such thing does exist.
