Detail Itinerary A perfect city getaway, Hoa Binh is a small town 70 km in the North West, home of the biggest hydro power station in Southeast Asia. Built between 1979-1989, the Hydro power station is the monument of Vietnam - USSR friendship which generate 20% of Viet Nam electricity needs. Hoabinh is also the home of 6 minorities including H'mong, Dzao, and Thai. This trip is the real chance to contemplate lush green rice terraces, friendly minorities and enormous river damp. 8:30 Leaving the bustling city of Hanoi and enjoy the scenery drive toward Hoabinh. Once there we pay a visit to Muong People whose lifestyle havent changed much since the early century. After having met the local villagers we will continue on for a look at the enormous dam and embark on a boat for a wonderful cruise on the reservoir. Visit one of many villages of the Muong ethnic minority on the bank of the reservoir to get closer to their life. Back to Hanoi around 5:00 pm
